Get Ready to Diet
Being ready to lose weight involves several things. There must be preparation to be done, and without the perfect kind of preparation, your weight loss will be in vain.
If your weight is a struggle to maintain an issue in life, then you need new awareness and deep intuitive understanding of your problem before you can do something about it.
Trying to solve this multifaceted problem with just one thing is doomed to fail. Even the best techniques will not have effects.
Do not consider your action with change. Taking action is the most visible and obvious step to you and the other around you. However, before that action there are things that need to happen first. Here are the things that will put you on right track.
You must make your goal clear. The way to do this is to imagine a time in the future, Imagine the moment you step on a scale, and the numbers show the way you wanted. Then in your mind`s eye, make an image of yourself at this weight. Take time to master this, and keep this image in your mind`s eye. This will keep your goal in front of you.
Repeat this visualization technique. Now that you have your goal crystal clear, begin to think about yourself, your feelings, your self-image, the pressures in your life, your attitudes. See whether any of these things have been getting in the way, preventing you from achieving your goal. Make a list of all those things that you think may be destroying your desire to lose weight.
Examine your real needs. Are you seeing your need in other areas of your life? Write down ways in which overeating may be an attempt at meeting these needs. Then think of ways to answer your needs so that you become more effective in your life than overeating.
Think at least three times in your life when you had trouble controlling your weight. Try to remember anything stressful. If there was, see if there is any connection between those stresses and your eating. This will give you greater insight of your eating problems.
Team up with a friend who is also interested in losing weight. You can decide to lean on each other, encourage, and listen to each other. This kind of support will strengthen your commitment, give you courage, and make the whole process more enjoyable.
Find which food plan suits best for you – not the latest, trendiest, best selling diet but the one that fits your own lifestyle, your needs, comfort. Ask other people what their experience has been with certain diets. In addition, you can even create a food plan yourself.
When you get to think this way, your diet effort will payoff, Whit this power of good you will see the difference of yet another diet failure and a real lasting weight loss success.
