How to improve your metabolism?

Acceleration of metabolism is the “holy grail” of weight loss, but on the other hand how quickly the body burns calories depends on several factors. Some people inherit a fast metabolism. Men tend to burn more calories than women, even when they’re resting.

And for most people, however, metabolism slows after 40th year. Although, it is not possible to control factors such as: age, genetics, gender, there are numerous ways that can accelerate metabolism.

Increase your muscle mass
The body constantly burns calories, even when you do nothing. People with bigger muscle mass have metabolism which is more accelerated, because for every half kilo of muscle mass are burned 6 calories just to maintain that mass, while every half kilo of fat spends only 2 calories per day for self-preservation.
During exercise, muscles are activated and further, they contribute in burning calories.

Practice exercises with high intensity
Vary the intensity of your workouts and during aerobic or fitness apply intense exercise at regular intervals. This contributes to further burning fat. Before boarding the stepper for example, make exercises such as rapid jumps in the air and let the hands down to make merging above the head during the jump.

Drink plenty of water
Your body must process the calories. If you are a bit dehydrated, your metabolism may slow down. Before each meal and breakfast drink at least one cup a day.
Eat small snacks more frequently (5 times a day)
If you eat small meals more frequently, that can help you in faster losing excess weight. If you have a small meal-snack in every 4 hours, you will burn more calories throughout the day.

Eat pungent meal
Hot peppers have ingredients that speed up metabolism.
In short-term, they have minimal effects, but in the long-term, the pungent food is excellent accelerator of metabolism and support for healthy weight loss.

Drink coffee
Coffee is an excellent diuretic. Provides energy, stamina and concentration.

Eat protein
A protein further helps in accelerating the process of burning energy.
Do not hold strict diets
If you kept a strict diet and you have restricted your calorie intake throughout the day, it is likely that after the diet, the calorie intake will increase and with it, instead of speeding you will slow down your metabolism significantly.
Avoid diets with short-term results and instead of that enter foods rich in protein and fiber.
