What precise are pastels? We can say it is a mixture containing two super healthy foods: honey and sesame, called sesame and honey pie.

Those useful ingredients give you a mixture. It contains: iron, zinc, fiber, copper and a number of vitamins, especially from the B group, magnesium and calcium. It offers all key ingredients for the health and functioning of the body.

300 grams – natural honey,
300 grams – tahini (paste created from clean ground sesame seeds).
Note: You can get ready tahini in healthy food stores. Another option is to prepare your own if you have time and a good blender.
To prepare home tahini paste you should use raw sesame seeds. Uses of oil depend of your choice (often 2 tablespoons of oil go with one or a half cup of seeds, depends on how thick you want the mixture to be — the mostly uses are sesame, olive or sunflower oil). Fry the seeds lightly without using oil, until they become golden. Cook 5-10 minutes stirring continuously. Be careful do not burn them because the sesame seeds can receive a bitter taste.
Put them in a blender when they cool down. Then add olive oil and mix until you get a paste with the wanted consistency (you can add more olive oil).
Before to put those two ingredients in a bowl and mix them, pour the accumulated oil that has formed on the top of the pan with the tahini.
Very interesting is that the both ingredients are liquids and when they are well mixed, become hardening into a mass. So can be formed as a modeling clay.
If you want during the mixing process you can add a handful of crushed pieces of walnuts, almonds, pistachios or hazelnuts.
Some people bake the mixture. We do not recommend you to do it, because can have large loss of useful components but also for the taste.
Make yourself some balls or other interesting shapes. In whole sesame seeds roll the balls and place on a platter. Then put in the fridge.
Let to stay there. You need to take 2-3 balls every day as a cure but also as treat.
However, it is very difficult to do that because of their delicious taste. Be moderate they are true energy “bombs”.
