Brussels waffles

Who walk through the streets of Brussels, can tell you about the beautiful scent of these waffles coming from every cafe and restaurant. Recognizable are by their shape. The dough is a special light with spongy structure. Start your day with fluffy and delicious waffles. They can be in different shapes, but this is the basic mixture to make delicious waffles. You can start to think which to combine them. Prepare Brussels waffles and you never want to eat another type of waffle!

Ingredients:

  • 500ml milk
  • 1/2 cube yeast
  • 500g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 75g butter
  • 4 eggs

On your choice can use: whipped cream, sweet cherry, sugar, chocolate
Preparation:
First step: Heat the milk to be tepid and put the yeast. Stir with a spoon until it melted.
Second step: In a bowl put the flour then add the two types of sugar and salt. Finally put the milk with the melted yeast. Mix with a mixer until the ingredients nicely merged. Cover with a rag and put in a warm place to rise about 45-50 minutes.
Third step: Melt the butter to the low temperature and leave for 5-10 minutes to cool. The eggs beat with a mixer and add the butter. The mixtures put in dough and stir up nicely with spoon.
At the end: Apparatus waffles warm and put few drop of oil on surface for baking waffles. Put a few tablespoons of dough (depending on the size you want) and cook on medium heat until the waffles baked.
Serve hot with whipped cream and fruit, powdered sugar or melted chocolate.
Useful Tips: Instead vanilla sugar, you can use lime and sugar with orange aroma. Waffles will get refreshing taste and smell.
